Located at the heart of Wellington CBD, Lambton Quay has been part of the Starbucks portfolio since 1999.  We're changing things up and we’re now on the hunt for coffee-passionate experts to join our Flagship Wellington Starbucks. This is more than a barista role; this is an opportunity to lead coffee culture in-store. 

You'll start as a barista learning the Starbucks way and complete training to move into our Coffee Master role.  As a Coffee Master, you’ll craft high-quality beverages, maintain exceptional barista standards (including latte art), and deliver fast, clean, and welcoming service. Beyond the bar, you’ll act as a coffee ambassador, sharing and training your knowledge of coffee origins, brewing methods, and flavour profiles with customers and partners. You’ll lead tastings, coach team members, and help create a culture of coffee excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure every customer has an amazing experience in our store
• Keep the store clean and presentable
• Keep stock updated
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards
• Maintain and Train Partners in Coffee Equipment and Beverage Standards
• Work in a high-speed environment
• Contribute to a high performing team to ensure efficient running of the store
  

Experience & Qualifications

• Strong coffee knowledge (essential)
• Confidence in sharing and teaching coffee skills
• Passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, late nights, and/or holidays
