If you’re passionate about bikes and the outdoors, this is the role for you! As our in-store Bike Mechanic at the Albany store, you’ll play a key role in our bike community, ensuring customers’ bikes are safe, well-maintained, and ready for adventure. You’ll use your technical expertise to assemble, tune, and repair bikes while delivering outstanding customer service to help every customer leave satisfied.
Roster:
- Tuesday to Saturday (40 hours per week)
- Customer Experience: Provide top-notch service by assisting with bike assembly, setup, and repairs, creating an exceptional experience for every customer.
- Technical Expertise: Ensure every bike is in perfect working condition, delivering safe and enjoyable rides.
- Store Efficiency: Help with store operations, processing transactions, and maintaining inventory.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with your teammates to keep the store running smoothly, especially during busy periods.
- Adaptability: Stay flexible and ready to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic retail environment.
- Communication: Provide clear, friendly advice to customers and collaborate effectively with your team.
- Proven experience in a bike workshop or qualification in the bike industry (1-2 years preferred).
- A genuine passion for bikes and the great outdoors.
- Strong communication skills with a customer-first approach.
- The ability to build rapport easily with customers and colleagues alike.
- Physical stamina to handle standing for long periods and moderate lifting.
- A positive, can-do attitude and flexibility to work multiple shifts.
