As a People & Culture Business Partner, you’ll become a credible trusted advisor and be able to coach leaders at all levels – including first time or developing managers. Your calm, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach will build capability and confidence across all people matters.

 What you will bring to the role:

You’re practical, resilient, and comfortable in busy environments. You’ll also have:

• Around 5+ years’ experience in HR or P&C Business Partner roles, ideally in retail, hospitality or other fast‑paced settings
• Strong NZ employment law knowledge and confidence handling multiple ER matters at once (union/collective experience is a bonus)
• Good commercial judgement — you understand the business impact of people decisions
• A natural coaching style and the ability to build trust with leaders at all levels
• Clear, plain‑English communication and strong emotional intelligence
• Confidence using HR systems and people data, with a genuine commitment to inclusion and Tahua’s values
