Sales Assistant - Taupo (Torpedo 7)

We’re on the hunt for a Sales Assistant who brings energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for the outdoors to every shift. Bonus points if you know your way around bikes – from basic maintenance to helping someone pick out their first mountain bike, we’re looking for someone who can talk torque, tyres, and trail rides like a pro.

Roster for this role is as follows:

(34 hours per week)

• Monday (09:00 - 17:00)
• Tuesday (09:00 - 17:00)
• Wednesday (09:00 - 17:00)
• Thursday (09:00 - 16:00)
• Sunday (10:00 - 16:00)

What you’ll do:

• Deliver epic customer experiences: Welcome customers with a smile, ask the right questions, and help them find exactly what they need – and maybe a little more.
• Share your bike knowledge: Assist customers with gear advice, bike fitting, and product recommendations that suit their riding style and goals.
• Know your gear: Be the go-to for all things outdoors. Whether it’s hiking boots or hydration packs, your product knowledge and passion will shine through.
• Keep things running smoothly: From the till to the stockroom, you’ll be keeping things in order and supporting your teammates where it counts.
• Be a team player: Collaborate, communicate, and contribute to a high-performing and fun team environment.
• Stay adaptable: Retail is dynamic – you’ll thrive through change, remain cool under pressure, and bring a can-do attitude every day.
