We’re looking for a dynamic Store Manager who can lead and inspire, blending people skills with strategic thinking. As the Store Manager of our Whangarei Store, you’ll have the opportunity to guide and mentor a team, oversee marketing and advertising efforts, and drive your store's performance to new heights.
About the Role:
In this full-time role, you’ll be leading the charge at our Whangarei Store, working 40 hours a week.

What You’ll Do:
- Inspire and Lead: Build a motivated, collaborative team that brings their A-game every day. You’ll select and coach top talent, ensuring the Torpedo7 culture shines through in everything they do.
- Drive Results: Work closely with the Regional Manager to set and smash store sales targets. You’ll challenge your team to convert customer visits into sales and ensure the store is running smoothly and efficiently.
- Create Legendary Customer Experiences: You’ll ensure every customer walks away impressed by the service they receive, fostering a welcoming environment that keeps them coming back.
- Operational Excellence: Make sure the store operates like a well-oiled machine. From rosters to stock management, you’ll ensure everything is on point.
- Be a Product Expert: Share your passion and in-depth knowledge of our products with both your team and customers. You’ll lead product knowledge sessions and keep everyone up to date with the latest gear.
- Adaptability & Resilience: Retail can be fast-paced, and no two days are the same. You'll support your team to thrive, even during busy or challenging periods.
- Proven experience managing a retail store and leading a sales team.
- A genuine love for the outdoors and a passion for helping customers find the perfect gear for their adventures.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle customer queries and feedback with a customer-first approach.
- The ability to build rapport easily and keep things positive, even when the pressure is on.
- Physical stamina – this is a hands-on role, and you’ll be on your feet, managing tasks throughout your shift.
- Adaptability and resilience to handle the changing pace and demands of a retail environment.
- Flexibility to work Sunday – Thursday (40 hours per week).
